A highly ambitious writer and entrepreneur always in search of new challenges. Edward has nearly two decades of experience working on Wall Street within the executive search business. His experience goes beyond team building and candidate selection however. Over the course of his career he has written often on subjects such as economic issues related to the global job markets, working as an executive recruiter, investing in real estate and equities, and much more. Edward is actively involved in politics and spends a considerable amount of his time corresponding with donors who are vital to the causes of protecting free markets, free speech, and the accurate preservation of the world’s diverse cultures.
Edward was raised in Springfield, Illinois and attended college at Arizona State University. He began his professional career in the executive search field at Integrated Management Resources in Tempe, Arizona. After excelling in a role as an executive recruiter, in 2006 he co-founded Comprehensive Recruiting. Mr. Storm ran the firm’s equities focused recruiting desk placing equity research analysts, investment bankers, and institutional sales professionals into a wide variety of hiring institutions ranging from bulge brackets firms to the top research and banking boutiques and start ups. His work placing analysts demanded that he develop strong relationships with growing hedge funds and long only funds as well . He became the firm’s top producing recruiter and expanded his practice to include placing individuals within the expert network consultant field. In 2015 Mr. Storm left his position and started a financial markets blog called Careerhedge. Over the course of his writing career he has been published in EfinancialCareers, Bloomberg, Integrity Research, and Benzinga. He is also written extensively through his own blogging and through several creative ventures.
Today Edward continues his recruiting working independently via his firm The Street Scout, LLC. He is pioneering a recruiting practice that is centered on working with candidates as they pursue career goals rather than the traditional search model which is focused only on filling positions for hiring institutions. Edward is engaged in other projects as well. One of these is building a peer to peer lending network as a way of supporting the fledgling container home and tiny home industries as well as other innovative small businesses seeking alternative financing methods. This means that he’s working with investors within this space interested in financing mortgage loans and acquiring tiny home and container home properties. He can also be heard on a weekly podcast focused the history of poetry and songwriting.
